Intergraph today announced a multi-year, multi-million-dollar Global Alliance Agreement with Bechtel covering the complete Intergraph SmartPlant portfolio, as well as Intergraph Plant Design System (PDS) and related software. As part of the agreement, Bechtel and its subsidiaries have unlimited use of Intergraph Process, Power & Marine software.
"The Global Alliance Agreement shows Bechtel's commitment to move forward with the SmartPlant Enterprise offered by Intergraph," said Bechtel Senior Vice President and Corporate Manager of Engineering Ed Richardson. "Bechtel and Intergraph have a long history of working together and this agreement solidifies our relationship further."
Gerhard Sallinger, president of Intergraph Process, Power & Marine, said, "Bechtel's decision reinforces our efforts to provide the broadest solution portfolio available for plant design and engineering information management. Bechtel already uses a number of our products and this agreement provides them with a complete solution."
In addition to PDS, SmartPlant Review and SmartPlant Instrumentation, Bechtel will implement SmartPlant Foundation as its engineering information management and integration hub. Richardson said, "SmartPlant Foundation will be key to Bechtel's project delivery work processes. SmartPlant Foundation will allow us to manage large amounts of information relative to an engineering, procurement and construction project. If the right information is available and accurate, it can be leveraged to make better operational decisions."
Bechtel also is committed to using SmartPlant 3D, Intergraph's next-generation 3D plant design solution and SmartPlant P&ID for schematic piping and instrumentation design.
