Garbage collectors in Frankfurt, Germany are being sent to school to make sure that they don't again mistake modern art for construction trash.
News service Ananova reports that the sheets were part of a city-wide exhibition of modern sculpture by Michael Beutler, a graduate of Frankfurt's Städel art school. Peter Postleb, head of Frankfurt sanitation, saw a pile of plastic yellow sheets. "As the weather was bad, I thought it was construction workers who had dumped their materials on the street and called my people to come take it away." He realized his mistake a few days later when he read about the exhibition in a local newspaper.
