Amateurs using freeware topological and imaging software managed to process and release images from Titan faster than either NASA or the European Space Agency. This news is not mere novelty, and it is certainly more than just clever or interesting. It is one more sign that we are in the early stages of a fundamental shift in how the world creates, processes, and applies knowledge. AEC is not immune to these changes.
