Have you noticed the white bar at the top of the page? AECnews and several other CAD-oriented news sites have banded together to create the Targeted Ad Consortium (TAG). It's a real win-win for everyone; readers can better appreciate targeted ads, vendors prefer assurances their ad dollars are reaching the right audience, and news sites offer a more attractive advertising platform for less effort.
More than once in the past I have tried to be both Editor (journalism side) and Publisher (business side); a divided focus served no task well. I'm pleased that Rick Stavanja and the team at Cyon Research led the creation of this consortium; I think it is a real service to the industry as well as to our readers and advertisers.
