I'm ending an unplanned vacation from writing this week. In addition to posting other news, I will be submitting reports, blog style, from this week's SketchUp Users Conference (called "3D Base Camp" by @Last Software, the creators of SketchUp) in Boulder, Colorado. This will be the first industry event I have attended since taking over the ownership of AECnews.com, and my first time "blogging" an event, so I'm not sure right now about how often I'll post or the nature of the content. But it should be an interesting journalistic experiment for AECnews.com, and I invite you to come by often Wednesday through Friday, October 5-7.
As previously reported on AECnews.com, modern renaissance man Stewart Brand will be the conference keynote speaker. @Last Software has created a lively corporate culture that extends to everthing they do, led by the irrepressible Brad Schell; I'm looking forward to a great conference.
If you were considering attending but haven't signed up, you are too late. Conference registration is closed. You'll have to experience 3D Base Camp vicariously through my AECnews.com reports.
