Internet-based project collaboration software firm Constructware today announced that it achieved a 70% increase in year-over-year sales in 2005. The firm, generally regarded as second to Autodesk Buzzsaw in the construction ASP (Application Service Provider) market, now has more than 28,000 users.
In their announcement of 2005 sales highlights, Constructware cited a survey from the “Construction Financial Management Association,” of Princeton, NJ. “According to the 2004 IT Survey for the Construction Industry, Constructware is the most widely used project collaboration solution among contractors of all sizes and types in the United States, with double the market share of its nearest competitor.” Contrast this with the claim of Autodesk, which says Buzzsaw is the second most popular ASP on the market, with Salesforce.com being number one. Somebody’s measuring apples vs. oranges.
