CADwire.net is requesting nominations for the 2006 CADwire.net Tech Innovator Award. Nominations must be received by March 10, 2006. The award winner will be announced at COFES 2006, April 20-23, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The 2005 winner was the IPIFINI Innovation Engine, a proprietary database-driven software that generates, elaborates and drafts new product ideas. "We found that IPIFINI brought a new approach to an existing problem, something that CADwire.net always tries to recognize,” said Rick Stavanja, editor of CADwire.net and CIO of Cyon Research. "The Innovator Awards are about giving new and unique ideas the recognition they deserve.”
“CADwire.net believes that innovation in engineering technology market is a key to continued growth and wealth generation in the market,” continues Stavanja. “Our award spotlights leading edge, but little-known, technologies that address key design needs and further the success of designers and engineers.
Candidate technologies must meet the following requirements:
- The technology is recognized to provide a new approach to an existing problem or process
- The technology has not been licensed or has not been widely promoted throughout the industry
- The technology has the potential to move the industry forward
A one page description of the technology may be sent for consideration to editor@cadwire.net. Nominations will be reviewed by Cyon Research and the winner will be announced at COFES 2006.
