It seems my post last week on Autodesk Impression generated considerable interest. So much that Autodesk has decided to extend the current beta cycle before it posts the new non-photorealistic rendering software at Autodesk Labs. If this is bad news to you, the good news is that they are opening up the beta test to more users.
To join, visit http://myfeedback.autodesk.com and select the "Sign Up" option. (You will find the "Sign Up" button on the upper left side of the page.)
The form will ask for a "beta code." Enter "VESPA-AEC" as your beta code.
When your enrollment is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email. Expect a 24- to 48-hour lag time.
The source at Autodesk who originally told about the planned release of Autodesk Impression to Autodesk Labs explains:
Feedback has been great, and we want to make sure that we have a very stable and high performing application before we get it onto the Labs. We want the Labs feedback to be about workflow and features and not about performance.
