Océ today announces the TDS700, a mid-volume large format monochrome printer/scanner for architectural and enginering workgroups and reprographic shops. Océ claims the modular design of the TDS700 “fits the way you want it” with thousands of different hardware and software configurations, including optional color scanning.
The TDS700 can print up to nine D-size prints per minute and 10,000 sq. ft. of uninterrupted printing capability, without the need to stop the system to load toner or paper. It can be loaded with up to six rolls of media in what Océ calls an ergonomically-designed roll loading system for ease of use. (The base TDS700 supports two rolls; more can be added with an upgrade.) Océ claims its “next-generation Radiant Fusing Technology” provides the fastest print time from a cold start in the industry. The “Océ Power Logic Controller” can process print, copy and scan jobs quickly, allowing for concurrent processing of one file while the previous file is printing.
