Every once in a while, in my humble opinion, software companies need to remember their renegade roots and cut loose just a bit. Most of the companies I cover (for both AECnews and CADCAMNet) have forgotten how to do this. Autodesk is rare in that once in a while, pays homage to its origins as "The Hungry Rats of Sausalito" and does something not becoming of "suits" culture. To see the Big A's latest example of a bit of silliness that (we now warn you) also serves their marketing purposes, visit "
Save The Markers."
