Cimmetry Systems, an Agile Software company, and Skire Inc., today signed a new ISV agreement that allows Skire to integrate Cimmetry's AutoVue visualization software into Unifier, Skire's web-based capital projects manangement software. The combination will allow Unifier users to maintain, view, markup and print a variety of documents and files, allowing graphical information to be used and shared using only a web browser.
Skire is wise to work with a partner instead of building its own visualization tools. Cimmetry's visualization expertise is mature and crosses traditional industry boundaries, making it a good fit for the present and the future. Some existing Unifier customers use the product to manage the construction and deployment of process and power plants. The possibility exists in such projects that mechanical CAD or PLM products have been used; Cimmetry AutoView already accomodates these formats, unlike some competing AEC-oriented solutions.
