Every year about this time I increase the drumbeat on behalf of COFES (the Congress on the Future of Engineering Software). I've been to every conference and I wouldn't want to miss it. I don't make a dime off my slavish devotion to this conference, but every year I find it is one of the highlights of my professional life.
