April/May 2007 was the busiest travel season I've ever experienced as a technology journalist. It felt like everybody was having an event. I made the mistake of trying to attend two conferences meeting on the same dates. Dassault Systemes was in Las Vegas, and Bentley Systems was in Los Angeles. By the time I arrived in Los Angeles, the main presentations were finished and most executives were unavailable for one-on-ones. Most of the information I gathered was background material for future articles.
So, if you want an update on Bentley and a report from it's annual BE Conference, I highly recommend
Martyn Day's coverage. Pay close attention to Keith Bentley's hardware recommendations: Don't spend any more money on 32-bit, single-core computers.
