Envista Corporation, a new provider of asset management software, has announced the formation of a new six-member Board of Directors. The list reads like a Who's Who of AEC successful start-ups and the venture captialist behind them. The obvious goal is to build a company that attracts acquisition attention.

The Envista board consists of Dave Lemont (Lemont Consulting), Arol Wolford (Tectronic Inc.) Rick Fiery (Envista CEO), Travis Connors (Egan-Managed Capital), David Martirano (Point Judith Capital), and Jesse Devitte (Borealis Ventures).

Dave Lemont, was founding CEO of Revit Technology (sold to Autodesk), was COO at Concentra Corporation, (Customer Relationship Management software, acquired by Oracle) and recently, CEO at AppIQ, a storage management software vendor acquired by HP creating over 600% returns for investors.

Arol Wolford, founder of Tectonic Inc., has been a entrepreneur in the building products information industry for the past 30 years. He started Manufacturers' Survey Group and five years later entered the construction information industry with the founding of Construction Market Data (CMD) in Atlanta, Georgia. As President and CEO, Wolford oversaw CMD, Manufacturers' Survey Associates, and R.S. Means. Wolford sold CMD Group to Cahners (now Reed Construction Data) in 2000. An honorary member of the American Institute of Architects, Wolford serves on the AIA 150 Committee, the only non-architect so recognized.

Jesse Devitte was an executive and director of Softdesk, one of Autodesk's first major acquisitions. He served for a time as a VP at Autodesk before moving on to work in venture capital.

Envista Corporation develops enterprise software for the strategic and financial management of built infrastructure assets. Envista solutions are designed for utilities, government institutions, defense agencies, and other companies who build, manage, or maintain infrastructure. Based on data models integrated with geospatial web environments, Envista technology enables public and private entities to better utilize resources, improve services, and address the critical needs of aging infrastructure.
