One of the sessions at the upcoming
P3 Conference ("P3: IT Innovation for the Process, Power, & Plant Project Lifecycle"), will present new research on the business case for investing in 3D laser scanning.
Bruce Jenkins, President of Research at
Spar Point Research LLC, will present the session entitled 3D Laser Scanning: Business Drivers & Technology Update. "Properly deployed, laser scanning work processes deliver safer, faster, more accurate and complete, and more economic capture of existing conditions of capital assets than conventional survey methods," says Jenkins.
In his presentation at P3, December 12 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, Jenkins will present new case examples that document how the technology is improving not only design but also fabrication, construction, and asset management in the process, power, and offshore/marine industries. Jenkins will also review the latest technological developments during his session.
