Aiden Chopra is opening the first meeting at Google SketchUp 3D Basecamp, asking who came the farthest distance. So far there is Western Australia, Finland, and Hungary.
We are being reminded to always wear our name tags. I know from personal experience in the past that the smiling tall and tan young people walking the grounds are actually security personnel, and they hone in on people without ID like ants to honey.
To get a seat at this conference, you had to enter a lottery. Aiden says 4,500 people entered, and 900 were initially selected. Of that 900, the first 300 to respond got official invitations.
